ZAHEER ADAM ( B.A.LLB (Wits) )

Zaheer Adam, a BA.LLB Graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand is the founder of the firm. Zaheer was born in Lenasia, a township created by the old South African Apartheid regime for the Indian Community.

He completed his schooling in Lenasia before being admitted to the University of the Witwatersrand in 1992. Zaheer entered the profession as a Candidate Attorney for Smit and Maritz Attorneys in Randburg in 1996. During his employ at Smit and Maritz, he gained experience in the areas of Commercial and Civil Litigation, Third Party Claims, Insolvency Law, Labour Law, Property Law, Insurance Law, Criminal Law and in the Drafting of Commercial Contracts, Wills and Trusts.

Prior to leaving Smit and Maritz, Zaheer successfully represented entities such as the Road Accident Fund and First National Bank in litigation and commercial matters.

Having earned an excellent reputation in his specialist field of Law and having attracted clientele from both the corporate and private sector, he successfully began practice for his own account in January 2000.

With emphasis on honesty, integrity, competency and firm commitment to client service, Zaheer along with his staff succeeded in establishing a dynamic, young blooded firm with tremendous initiative and drive and excellent client service. Their dedication and commitment to their clients developed the firm from a one man show into a determined, established and recognised firm.

Zaheer has matured as an attorney with the development of the firm and has sharpened his skills in contract drafting, commercial law and litigation by passionately pursuing these areas of law as his expertise.

He is the backbone of the firm and although assisted by the Junior and Candidate attorneys, still features largely as an overseer on all assignments.  He is also actively involved in assisting Community Organisations on a pro bono basis, and is devoted to supporting and promoting historically disadvantaged communities.
